Francisco to the disabled list; Eyre recalled

The Rangers have placed reliever Frank Francisco on the disabled list and recalled pitcher Willie Eyre from Oklahoma City. Francisco is sidelined with what is being termed as a mild case of pneumonia. C.J. Wilson steps back into the closer's role.

Eyre has a 5.06 ERA in four appearances with the Rangers. The Rangers prefer him over Neftali Feliz because he can pitch multiple innings.

Francisco has been backdated to the Saturday before the All-Star break. That means he can come off on Sunday against the Royals.
