Purke on "signability"

If Matthew Purke is going to be a tough sign for the Rangers, it doesn't sound like it. He sounds like he's ready to go...

As far as the Rangers signing him, Purke said, "I don't think it will be difficult. It might take some time but I want to play baseball and I want to play for the Texas Rangers. I think the negotiations will end up being pretty easy."

Purke worked out for the Rangers on Sunday and met Nolan Ryan. His father talked with Ryan on Tuesday before the Rangers drafted him. Purke called him, "by far the best pitcher in the game."
