Eddie Guardado Traded To The Twins

The Rangers have traded LHP Eddie Guardado to the Minnesota Twins.  The Rangers are getting Minor League reliever Mark Hamburger in return, a decent prospect. Bill White is being called up to replace Guardado

What a last name. Hope he can pitch better than he taste.

Wow! I knew it just a matter of time before JD was going to trade off pitching for a Hamburger. Next week he is going to try and get a Hot Dog and Nachos for Millwood and Padilla. Even though he is going to be a free agent at the end of the year, Eddie has been the only consistnat pitcher we have had.

If we couldn't get a potential closer by the name of Stake (sic) or Hamm I guess Hamburger is ok...of course there was always "Meatloaf" . Whadoyawannabet his nickname is "meat"???

I'm sure Everyday Eddie didn't figure into our plans for next year because of age and arm history but we were sure happy to have him while we did.

No big loss to expose Ellison. Much as I don't have confidence in Cruz here's a chance for him to go out there and hustle a job. I'd be happy to see him succeed even though I think he's history in the off season

Hey we released Cruz earlier in the year and nobody and i mean nobody wanted him. So what has changed other than he has torn up AAA. But wait we have seen that before. I believe Cruz will take the next step for another team and join the long laundry list of former Rangers who go on to success with other franchises. If Wilson ain't gonna close then let him start. The same thing goes for Benoit, let him start. Hamburger as in ground beef. Naturally he is a closer, how ironic he joins a bullpen that has been ground up. But hey it ain't chopped liver....The Rangers have a pitcher in the minors with the last name of Laughter. Now that is fitting as in McCarthy to solidify the Rangers rotation, now Laughter is the best medicine. If we trade Millwood and Padilla then who leads the rotation next year? Anyone remember when Millwood signed and said, hey i am pitching against the other pitcher? I don't know who said this but it sums up Millwood, " their are many with the will to win, but too few with the will to PREPARE to win. " That sums up Millwood, who obviously worked at his marriage just as much as he worked at pitching.......just an opinion and besides public figures well are public figures so bark up another litigation trail besides everything i have said or implied on here WELL IS TRUE. You do remember what the truth is FREDUSSR???????

Vale, Eddie! You have served us well. Six years of service time for six weeks doesn't sound too bad a deal.

" ... everything i have said or implied on here WELL IS TRUE." I looked in thr dictionary, d'god, but I couldn't find rumour, innuendo or invented statistic on the same page as true. Hold on a sec while I look up delusions and fantasies...

Deputy Dawg...Your understanding of law is as pathetic as your understanding of law. The ruling in NY Times v. Sullivan does create a public figure exception but it does no sanction mischief such as in your statement about Vincente Padilla. I can only refer you to the numerous settlements The National Enquirer has made with celebrties. The most on point settlement I can think of is their report Carol Burnet was drunk at lunch with Henry Kissinger. Cost them millions.

As Anthony said in his own innimitable (goodness that's difficult to spell) style whatever I've said here in the truth. Can you say that?

Guardado traded for Hamburger, Catalanotto can be had for chopped liver.
