The Rangers are calling up outfielder Nelson Cruz from Triple A Oklahoma. He'll replace Jason Ellison and is expected to get substantial playing time... He'll be in Kansas City
He can't possibly make the offense/defense any worse and if he is going to make an impression he will look all the better (no competition from the other Rangers).
The only good results remaining for this season are the possibilities that the Red Sox and Yankees could miss the playoffs and that Tampa Bay and the Cubs meet in the World Series.
It's about time. I just hope that he finally gets consistant playing time. He needs to be in lineup at least 6 days a week. Maybe, just maybe he can be the big bat needed to bat behind Hamilton. Bradley did a great job, but can't stay healthy enough to even DH on a regular basis. If Nelson can duplicate what he did in the minors then he can be Manny to Hamiltons Big Papi.
Calling up Cruz at this point is a good move.
