Feldman, Littleton down...Loe, Diaz up

The Rangers have optioned pitcher Wes Littleton to Triple A Oklahoma and Scott Feldman to Double A Frisco. They have added pitchers Kameron Loe and Joselo Diaz.

Feldman will be back after the All-Star break. This way they can get him one start during the break and then recall him on Monday after the break to pitch against the White Sox. The Rangers are leaving it open whether he comes back as a starter or a reliever.

He deserves the chance to keep starting. Loe and Diaz give the Rangers extra arms in the bullpen for the White Sox series.

Why would Feldam not be starting. So what he had one bad start, Millwood has had at least 10. He needs to remain a starter. Feldman, Hurley and Harrison need to be in the starting rotation, followed up with either Millwood, Padilla, Mendoza, Mathis or Murry, if any of them ever get off the DL. (Note: McCarthy was not included). Oh no here comes Kam Loe. I was really hoping that he was on the DL and couldn't make it back up. They aren't going to the playoffs this year so keep the young pitchers running out there and next year is looking good.

A week or so ago they were concerned about too many innings for Feldman. Why give him start in OKC.Rest him & get him ready for second half of season.

petyton, I think that if Feldman isn't in the rotation to start the second half it will be becuase of long term health implications rather than performance.

FELDMAN NEEDS TO BE IN BULLPEN TO STRETCH HIM OUT YOU GUYS FORGET HE HAS ONLY BEEN STARTING SINCE SPRING TRAINING THIS IS A WAY NOT TO JUST COMPLETELY SHUT HIM DOWN THIS IS A MOVE FOR THE FUTURE

Hey Feldman needs to keep starting just as Mendoza needs to keep starting. Mendoza stunk it up on Monday, got another chance last night and pitched his donkey off. It was great to see the happiness in that guys face last night after the game. These young pitchers are going to take their lumps. Feldman has pitched well, he didn't the other day. I personally believe that you learn more when you struggle than when everything goes your way. Once you learn how to deal with adversity, come through it, you are stronger on the other side. I think the problem right now is the Rangers want Padilla, Millwood, Harrison, Hurley and Mendoza this relegates Feldman to the bullpen. That is if Mendoza keeps going like last night. All i know is if our starting pitching starts to jell, then this team is going to be there at the end. Their is something going on with this team and it is excitiing to watch. I do not want Blalock at first base, keep him at third base. Davis is jelling and working through to show everyone that he is a player. To put Blalock at first, #1 will lower his trade value and # 2 interfere with the future first basemans development. If Wash plays Blalock at first over DAVIS i am going to jump off a building, ha ha....

D'god I'm looking forward to watching you jump off the building. Make it the stadium please so I can DVR it. Playing Blalock is a no brainer. You got an experienced guy who consistantly hits 300 with power...why would you play him over a kid who hasn't been though the league once and who hasn't been fully scouted by most teams. When they do (scout him) you'll notice that Davis has a drop off. Noow that said I'd be inclined to keep Davis up at the bigs and platoon him IF Blalock's arm is healed enough to spell Vasquez at 3rd. That would make Duran the odd man out and Vasquez and Cat the Utility infield. You know you recently have come up with a lot of just kidding...maybe you're just windy.

Feldman only has 50 more innings left in him for the year. He threw less than 70 for the last two years and the Rangers are reportedly concerned about data that says if a young pitcher increases his innings too much in one year he will pay for it the next. Somewhere in the 130's is what that total would be for Feldman. He's not going to start at Frisco...and if reports are to be believedd he's not going to releive either. Just work on the side until afterthe All Start game...and then suppossedly be back up...if our current relief crop can live with a guy who's got only 50 innnings left.

Blalock is all hype, he gets hurt way too often and is not dependable. His trade value is in the fact that he can play third base. I believe again just my opinion, but at this point Davis has done nothing to disprove that he isn't the future firstbaseman. To put Blalock over there right now, is just plain stupid. It was an ok idea right up to the point that Davis got called up and started producing. I believe that Blalock is going to get just enough playing time over at third to prove he is healthy, then get dealt. He can stay on third all he wants and platoon with Vazquez, who cares. But Davis is a player and shouldn't be moved or platooned.

How does Blalock, a lefty, platoon with Vasquez, a lefty, at third? Anwer: It doesn't matter. Blalock ain't coming back to play third anyway.

Warning! Warning! Take cover ! Warning! Take cover! (Sirens wail in backgroung) Rangers just lost to Danks! Warning! Take cover! Rant alert! Rant alert! Take cover! Rant alert!

Loe looked sharp. Some things NEVER change.
