The Rangers have promoted first baseman Chris Davis from Double A Frisco and Triple A Oklahoma. They are considering a promotion for Max Ramirez as well but are still trying to figure out playing time for everybody.
Whoa Nellie! Didn't we hear just last week that Davis had a hole in his swing, needed to work on things, needs another season in AAA. Now he is being fast tracked? Ha ha. It is comical how they say things, then do the exact opposite. Looks like Blalock is wearing out his welcome. Davis will get 2 weeks at AAA and if he hits then he will be up here by the All-Star break. God only knows that we need a first baseman. That will solve your problem at first and Max can play first base at AAA.
I personally would play Salt at first when he wasn't catching. I think if you asked him he would tell you, if i ain't catching everyday and he shouldn't be then let me play first. Salt needs way more experience behind the plate and he may never be as good as Laird. Again catcher isn't the problem on this team and it looks like this team is going to do well. Love to say it, as Kirk Gibson has said, what a team, what a team. Wash has done a great job and it looks like he has taken control. It is what we needed and it appears the guy is a leader.
