Catalanotto has back spasms

Rangers outfielder Frank Catalanotto left Friday's game after one at-bat with back spasms. Catalanotto was among the regulars who made the 21/2 hour trip to Tucson on the bus, only to leave after just two innings. Right now his status is day-to-day.

You know, I've gotta admit, out of all the Rangers spring training injuries, this is the one that bothers me the least.

Cat doesn't have much value to this team as anything other than a right-handed DH with no power... and since Milton Bradley is likley going to start the season DH'ing, Cat could break his leg, and it really won't hurt the team at all.

More playing time for Jason Botts!

Cat has no place on this roster. Cut him.

Both Laird and Cat should have been dealt a long time ago. What value is a singles hitter with no power? Why pay him that 11 million. Just exactly what has he done other than keep the Snooty Pig open with those Turkey Reubens he likes to eat. I like you Catman, but it was a mistake for you to come here. Nevertheless you will be somewhere else soon enough. Since we are the kings of the salary dump, why haven't we dumped his salary yet? Are we really getting 11 million dollars worth? He is blocking the path of Botts and Cruz who aren't being paid 1/4th of what he is making. As soon as the Rangers cut Cruz and Botts, say that can't play, that is when i will begin to fear that they can play. Call it bad karma, it is just the way things are done here, hear!

Probably from all the high-torque swinging for the fences he does.
