Medical updates…Hamilton, Perez, Holland

Derek Holland had another positive MRI that showed continued improvement on his left shoulder. He will continue on his throwing program but has not yet been cleared to throw off a mound.

Martin Perez will throw a bullpen tomorrow and if that goes well, he could resume his medical rehab assignment by pitching for Frisco on Monday.

Josh Hamilton has been working out with the Triple A Round Rock team and is doing full baseball activities, including batting practice. There is a possibility he could begin a medical rehabilitation assignment as early as Monday but probably later in the week.

Matt Harrison pitches for Triple A Round Rock tomorrow.

Come on down Mr. Harrison!

What’s up with Derek Holland’s shoulder? Are they just postponing the inevitable? Is there a surgery option that is not being taken that may create a Jurikson Profar-like situation? Will we ever see Derek Holland pitch in this season or next? It sure is quiet about this while we get lots of news on Martin Perez and Matt Harrison. It seems weird to me.
