@Rangers Jimmy LeFave headline Eric Nadel Birthday Benefit

Texas legend Jimmy LaFave headlines Eric Nadel’s 4th annual birthday benefit bash with his first headlining gig ever at the Kessler. Born in Wills Point, Jimmy has been a Dallas favorite since his 1992 CD Austin Skyline featuring his classic rendition of “Walk Away Renee”. He has since delivered a long line of unforgettable originals and covers.

Emily Elbert was the first performer to take the Kessler stage when it opened as a concert venue five years ago. A graduate of Coppell High School and the Berklee School of Music, the nomadic songstress has journeyed solo around the world, playing close to 1,000 shows from Peru to Palestine.

Handpicked by Texas Rangers announcer Eric Nadel, Jimmy and Emily are two Texas originals who will provide an unforgettable night to raise money and awareness for a charity that is changing lives in our community.

THE NEED: There are more than 3,000 homeless young people within the Dallas Independent School District, according to DISD statistics. With limited staff, time, and funding, our schools cannot address this crisis alone. Without intervention, our most vulnerable young neighbors are left with myriad physical, emotional, and mental needs unmet, putting them at high risk of dropping out of school and falling through the cracks as they enter adulthood.

THE SOLUTION: Focus on Teens is a Dallas nonprofit that reaches out to young people in the critical early stages of homelessness. Taking a holistic approach to serving young people in crisis situations, Focus on Teens collaborates with local public high schools to provide weekly drop-in centers to cater to the immediate, pressing needs of students inc s, bolstering this support with wraparound services including drug abuse and suicide prevention programs.
