Darvish: mild inflammation in elbow

Pitcher Yu Darvish has mild inflammation in right elbow. The Rangers don’t think it is a long-term concern. He will resume throwing with the discomfort subsides. He said he could pitch if he had to but does not want to risk his future.

Proof we’re tanking

From comments to Japanese media, Darvish appears to feel the Rangers pitching plan recovery schedule is too short. He said so many arm injuries were probably due to having to throw so hard in the States without as much recovery time as in Japan. Do we have a hangover from Nolan Ryan philosophies?

Nolan did have a plan and I saw video of him showing pitchers how to throw so that they didn’t hurt themselves.
