wow … ???

Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Tigers have landed David Price in a three team deal with the Mariners, Austin Jackson goes to Seattle. Drew Dmiley and Nick Franklin to Tampa to complete the deal.
Great deal for the Tigers
Good deal for the Marines
Disappointing return for the Ray
.
WoW great great job by Dombrowski.

I have looked at our top 20 prospects. It appears that of the top 20, 3 are in AAA, 4 are in AA, 7 are in A ball and 5 are in the rookie league. It appears that the help we need, i.e. pitching is a long way off. I am a Ranger fan, but we need impact pitching? Why are we not seeing more young pitchers being brought up to see if they can help us? Quick name the last starting pitcher that this organization has drafted and developed into a front line starter?

Martin Perez (if healthy)? John Danks (although we traded him)? I don’t know if those guys count, but it’s the best I can do.

While I realize that no team can lose 3/5th’s of its starting pitching to injury and expect to contend. I am deeply troubled by this team and manager’s inability to manufacture runs. You cannot sit back and wait for the 3 run home run, when Cruz is playing in Baltimore. This team has got to start manufacturing runs, bunting, sacrificing, hit and run. Are we just playing for the first overall pick? I believe this team has quit on Washington and the team chemistry has been blown up by Daniels. Is Michael Young or Pudge interested in managing this team?

Bring up every pitcher that you think is even close and let them pitch. Bring up Choice and play him everyday to see if he is our right fielder. This season is over, to not play young players to see what they can do, just delays their progress.

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both
educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
The problem is an issue that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy I stumbled across this during my search for something concerning this.
