Ogando has some ligament damage…could miss up to two months
Pitcher Alexi Ogando has been shut down from throwing for three weeks because of inflammation in his right elbow. An MRI showed some ligament wear and tear but not enough to warrant surgery. Ogando, who has been placed on the disabled list, will be re-evaluated in three weeks as to what the next step. If he starts a throwing program at that point, it could take another 3-4 weeks to get him Major League ready again.
Ogando said an MRI showed, “it looked like my ligament has a little damage but not much.”
