McCutchen clears waivers

Pitcher Daniel McCutchen has cleared waivers and been assigned outright to Triple A Round Rock. The Rangers have also signed former Major League outfielder Scott Cousins to a Minor League contract with the plans to convert him to a pitcher. He played in 135 games with the Marlins and the Angels. He went to the University of San Francisco

Tip of the hat to Robbie Ross; showed a lot of maturity and no walks in a well pitched game. Scheppers, like Ogando, seems to be working his way back to the bullpen. Have never seen a pitcher in the “set” use such an “open” foot position. Looked like he was slinging the ball out of it, and that’s when he got hit. Don’t recall seeing him use such an “open” set before – maybe I just didn’t look closely.
