Rangers claim catcher Chris Gimenez; designate Michael Kirkman for assignment

The Rangers have claimed catcher Chris Gimenez off waivers from Oakland and have designated pitcher Michael Kirkman for assignment. Gimenez was with the Athletics in Spring Training and has spent parts of five seasons with the Rays, Mariners and Indians. Kirkman will either be traded and sent through outright waivers to Triple A Round Rock.

So how will they do this year?
First in the West. Because the pitching will be better than presently expected; Andrus will pull his funky act together enough to play well; Choice will be strong and steady; Beltre will be Beltre – good; and question marks such as Choo’s hitting and Catcher won’t be bad enough to sink the boat. Just hope the manager kicks a few buts occasionally insted of patting them all the time.

And don’t forget the Prince. Love his play every day attitude, with lots of pop. Too many reasons for them to be good. First.

Actuall, give Wash alot of credit for making the tough decisions this time of year regarding players’ creers.
