Soto has surgery….Out for three weeks

Catcher Geovany Soto underwent surgery on Saturday morning to have a bone removed from his left ankle. It was arthoscopic surgery and he is expected to be out for three weeks. The Rangers are expecting him to be ready for Opening Day but this may affect his workload. The bone was putting pressure on a tendon in his ankle and causing the discomfort he has been experiencing lately. The bone was the Os Trignum.

Without the surgery, G is not a guy who easily stays in good shape (body fat). With this surgery, conditioning will be more of an issue. How is Chirinois doing?
