Monday Afternoon: Blackley and Berkman

The Rangers have announced that recently acquired LHP Travis Blackley will start Tuesday’s game against Houston. In order to accomodate Blackley on the active roster, the Rangers will wait until just before the game to make the roster move, most likely putting RHP Alexi Ogando on the DL.

DH Lance Berkman has told the Rangers he is willing to wait until September 1st when the rosters expand to be activated. Berkman said he knows the Rangers would be squeezed to add him to the roster right now, and is willing to wait.

More on the website later.

I bet hes willing to wait. He dosent care to play. All he cares about is the money at this point.

Berkman should retire to the “outhouse” and stay there…. He is as useless as teats on a boar hog…. A typical Rangers acquisition….
