Ogando struggles in first rehab start

Alexi Ogando allowed two home runs in his first rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock. He allowed three earned runs on four hits in two innings against Triple-A Omaha. Ogando threw 28 of his 41 pitches for strikes with a strikeout and a walk.

His next projected start will be on July 11 at Omaha for Round Rock.

Throwing motion has always reminded more of a reliever than a starter. Short arm motion
suits short bursts, as does a limited pitch selection. Just an opinion, but I would like to see him become satisfied with being an effective short man.
