Kinsler has three stitches between innings.
Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler needed three stitches to close a cut on the left side of his chin after the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday night. Kinsler was safe on a close play at the plate, scoring on a single by A.J. Pierzynski. He cut his chin on the mask of catcher John Jaso and had blood splattered across his uniform.
Kinsler was stitched between innings and the start of the fourth was delayed until he could take the field. Dr. Keith Meister also examined Kinsler for any signs of concussion and cleared him to return to the game
