Martin exits with wrist sprain

Leonys Martin left the game in the eighth inning with a mild left wrist sprain. Martin landed on his wrist diving for a ball in left center field off Edwin Encarnacion.

Martin missed five weeks in Triple-A Round Rock last season with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb.

Craig Gentry replaced Martin in center field and hit ninth in the lineup.

The x-rays were negative, and he’s listed as day-to-day.
