Decision coming….Profar could stay

The Rangers may have to make a decision on infielder Jurickson Profar as soon as Sunday and he could stay in the big leagues even after the Rangers activate Ian Kinsler off the disabled list.

Kinsler could go on a medical rehabilitation assignment either Thursday or Friday and return to the lineup by Sunday. Profar was called up when Kinsler went on the disabled list but it’s not automatic he will be sent down. The Rangers are seriously discussing the possibility of keeping Profar around as a utility player when Kinsler returns.

It’s still unclear how much he would play behind Kinsler and shortstop Elvis Andrus. The other option would be to send him back to Triple A so he could continue to play and keep Leury Garcia as the utility infielder.

Good luck to Wash with making decision like this. : – )

Put Profar in left field!

Could be a long summer in the majors for the Rangers; it could quickly turn into a developmental year. They will need Profar in Arlington.

The decision should be easy. Profar at second. Kinsler to left.
