Rangers take outfielder to start Day 3
The Rangers took outfielder Ryan Cordell with the 340th overall selection in the 11th round to start Day 3 of the First-Year Player Draft.
Cordell attended LIberty University and listed at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds. He hit .261, 68-of-261, in 65 games his junior season with six home runs and 40 RBIs. He had a .310 on base percentage and stole 28 bases. He had a .984 fielding percentage with three errors and two assists.
He’s the first outfielder selected by the Rangers in the draft.
