Rangers pick outfielder in 13th round

The Rangers took outfielder Taylor Olmstead with the 400th overall selection in the 13th round.

Olmstead attended Greenwich High in Connecticut. According to Maxpreps, Olmstead hit .338 in 24 games with a .402 on-base percentage.

Olmstead also played football in high school as a safety and a tight end. He’s committed to play baseball at UConn.
