Lewis, Kinsler delayed in rehab programs

Significant injury news today….

Colby Lewis has developed some muscle soreness behind his right elbow and has been taken off medical rehabilitation assignment. The Rangers expect him to be sidelined for at least two weeks before he can pitch in a game again.  It’s unlikely he’ll be back in the rotation before July and it may be after the All-Star break.

Ian Kinsler has developed a stress reaction in his right ribcage and will be sidelined for at least two more weeks. He is eligible to come off the disabled list Sunday but he has not resumed baseball activities.

Alexi Ogando will pitch on rehab asssignment for Double A Frisco on Friday. He is scheduled to pitch five innings and 75 pitches. He has been sidelined with tricep tendinitis but should only need one start.

Martin Perez will start Saturday for the Rangers. Yu Darvish will start Sunday.
