Soria suffers setback
The Rangers announced that reliever Joakim Soria has a strained muscle in his chest. He was within a month of returning from Tommy John elbow reconstruction surgery or at least June 1 at the latest. But Soria won’t be able to throw for 2-3 weeks and it’s now going to be July 1 before his return.
But the Rangers are getting closer on Colby Lewis. He has two more live batting practices this week and then he could start pitching in games after that. From there he could be ready in approximately 30 days.
