Saturday night: Young, Greinke
As day turns into night, the latest word on Michael Young trade is the press releases have been written and final approval is needed from the Commissioner’s office because of the money involved.
Also, reports are coming out of the West Coast from Los Angeles-based reporters that the Dodgers are close to signing Zack Greinke. This was after Dodgers GM Ned Colletti left the Winter Meetings saying he doubted it would get done.
But the Rangers knew along the Dodgers had a chance to blow them away on this one.
If the Dodgers get Greinke, the Rangers could push the Mets for pitcher RA Dickey.
