Rangers being asked about Olt
General manager Jon Daniels said the Rangers are getting many inquiries about third baseman Mike Olt but is not motivated to trade him. Daniels said the perception is Olt is being blocked by Adrian Beltre but the Rangers don’t view him that way. The Rangers feel Olt could be crucial for them because Nelson Cruz, Michael Young and David Murphy are all free agents after this upcoming season.

I definitely felt that the Face inquiries were just a smoke screen, and that the phillies real target was Olt or another minor League piece. It looks like other GM’s have been trying a simular approach.
I think that what this really says is that Olt is a real stud at a valued position.
