Orioles will start Saunders against Rangers
Orioles manager Buck Showalter just announced that Baltimore will start left-hander Joe Saunders against the Rangers in Friday night’s American League wild card game.
It’s an interesting decision considering Saunders does not have a good history of pitching in Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Saunders is 0-6 with a 9.38 ERA lifetime in Arlington. He’s allowed 13 home runs in 31 2/3 innings.
The Rangers did lose to left-hander Travis Blackley, a soft-tossing lefty, in the second game of their crushing final series against the A’s that cost them the AL West title.

Crushing is putting it mildly
I think buck is smarter than wash. because it was obvious in yesterdays game hamilton has given up on his team and doesnt even try to hit lefties
