Oswalt says he cleared waivers three weeks ago
Rangers pitcher Roy Oswalt said he was told he cleared trade waivers three weeks ago. The news came to light only today and industry sources said the Rangers believe it is “possible” that he could be traded by Friday.
Oswalt said he doesn’t have a preference and he will do what he is told. He does not have a no-trade clause in his contract.
Asked about his morale, Oswalt said, “A lit of people have written a lot of good opinions. I’m great. I’m good.”
