Rangers trade for Ryan Dempster
The Rangers have traded for right-handed pitcher Ryan Dempster from the Cubs right before the Trade Deadline, it has been confirmed. An official announcement has not been made and no word yet of what the Rangers gave up. Dempster was supposed to pitch on Tuesday night for the Cubs.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says the Cubs are getting two Class A pitchers.
