Hamilton at DH, feels better after spasms Friday
Josh Hamilton, who exited Friday’s loss to the Twins with lower back spasms, will start at designated hitter and bat third.
He was tracking a fly ball in deep left field in the fifth inning Friday when he began to feel discomfort in his lower back. The ball fell on the warning track as Brian Dozier made his way to third base and Hamilton was charged with an error, his fifth of the season and the Rangers’ second of the game.
Hamilton said he was feeling better after icing his back after Friday’s game and told Ron Washington before Saturday’s game that he would be able to play.
