Rangers checked on Youkilis but “not involved” anymore
The Rangers at one point checked on the possibility of acquiring Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis but are “not involved anymore,” according to Major League sources. Youkilis is being shopped by the Red Sox and the Rangers are without first baseman Mitch Moreland for 4-6 weeks with a strained hamstring. The Rangers still have Mike Napoli and Michael Young to play first base during Moreland’s absence.
The Rangers were concerned that Youkilis wouldn’t have been happy in Texas in what would have been a supporting role, mainly off the bench. The Red Sox are expected to trade Youkilis soon, according to various reports.

Can anyone tell me when pitchers/catchers report to Spring Training, Surprise, 2013?
