LHPs Bell, Ortiz called up to Triple-A Round Rock, RHP Neil Ramirez sent to Double-A Frisco
Left-handed pitchers Chad Bell and Joseph Ortiz were promoted from Double-A Frisco to Triple-A Round Rock Friday.
Bell, one of eight RoughRiders to be named to this year’s South Division All-Star team, is 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA in 13 games, including seven starts, this season, strriking out 40 and walking 13 in 50 2/3 innings. Ortiz is 1-2 with a 2.35 ERA in 27 appearances, striking out 29 and walking six in 30 2/3 innings.
Also, right-handed pitcher Neil Ramirez was sent from Round Rock to Frisco. He is 6-8 with a 7.66 ERA in 15 starts this year, striking out 63 and walking 31 in 74 innings while losing each of his last three starts.
