Josh Hamilton currently leads all American League players with 2,587,991 votes in the first ballot update in the All-Star voting. He leads all outfielders in his bid to start for the fifth straight season for the American League.

He is not alone among his teammates. Ian Kinsler is in first place among second basemen as is catcher Mike Napoli and third baseman Adrian Beltre. Outfielder Nelson Cruz is third among outfielders. Five starters would be a first for the Rangers.
