Rangers re-sign Hawpe to Frisco contract
The Rangers have signed first baseman Brad Hawpe to a Minor League contract and assigned him to Double A Frisco. He will spend his time with the Roughriders building up arm strength so he can play the outfield. The Rangers released Hawpe at the end of Spring Training and he was unable to find another job at the Major League level. He had Tommy John elbow reconstruction surgery last August.
