Andrus, Beimel update…13 players sign
Shortstop Elvis Andrus, sidelined with a sore left heel, is getting on the field today to take batting practice and possbly field grounders. But he is still limited in his running.
Pitcher Joe Beimel is taking a couple days off to rest his sore left elbow. Beimel said it was precautionary and it is not as severe as the inflammation he experienced last year with the Pirates. He was on the disabled list for seven weeks.
The Rangers have agreed to terms with 13 players, including pitchers Derek Holland, Alexi Ogando and Neftali Feliz, and outfielder Julio Borbon.
