Rangers show interest in Hawpe
The Rangers are among the teams that are showing interest in free agent first baseman/outfielder Brad Hawpe. The Rangers are looking for some depth at first base in case Mitch Moreland is slow coming back from wrist surgery. Hawpe, who can play the outfield and first base, is from the Fort Worth area and went to Boswell High School. He was an All-Star in 2009.
