Buehrle, Wilson, Francisco

Tuesday evening…what we know…

* The Washington Nationals are not in on C.J. Wilson. There have been mixed signals from various reports but industry sources strongly say the Nationals are not interested in Wilson.

* An industry sources said the Marlins cannot sign both Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson. “It has to be one or the other,” he said. The Marlins may still try to get creative and get both, or they could sign Pujols and get aggressive on trades.

* The Marlins and the Nationals are in on Mark Buehrle. There have been indications the Mets were interested but that doesn’t appear likely. Buehrle is hoping for a four-year deal. The Cardinals could get involved if they don’t bring back Pujols.

* One source said Roy Oswalt is looking for a three-year deal.

* The Rangers are looking for bullpen help but don’t appear to be keen on re-signing Frank Francisco. The Rangers checked on him earlier in the off-season but their interest doesn’t seem strong at this point.
