Rangers considering Tim Purpura for farm director
The Rangers are considering former Astros GM Tim Purpura as a possible replacement for Scott Servais as their farm director. Purpura was the Astros GM in 2005-07. Prior to that he served as an assistant under Gerry Hunsicker from 1997-2004 during the most successful run in Astros history. Purpura has close ties with Rangers president Nolan Ryan.
