Astros making changes, Rangers officials may be targeted
New Astros owner Jim Crane is dismissing general manager Ed Wade. He will immediately begin the search for a new general manager. Crane tried to buy the Rangers two years ago and is believed to be interested in either assistant GM Thad Levine or A.J. Preller. With the Winter Meetings beginning next week, the Astros will likely move fast.
