Esteban German told he will be on ALDS playoff roster
Esteban German said he was told he will be on the playoff roster as a backup infielder in the ALDS.
Andres Blanco, who was the backup infielder last year, cannot go due to the ongoing lower back inflammation that prevented him from being a switch hitter, choosing only to bat from the right side at the end of the season.
Michael Young, who started a game at shortstop in Anaheim, will be the backup shortstop should something happen to Elvis Andrus, as German is not able to play shortstop.
