Lowe out 2-4 weeks, Hamilton starting in centerfield
Mark Lowe will be out 2-4 weeks, according to the evaluation by the team’s doctor on Thursday. Lowe received a blood platelet injection to speed his recovery, but he will more than likely miss the American League Division Series.
Also, Josh Hamilton is starting Friday’s game in centerfield. Rangers manager Ron Washington said he wanted to make sure Hamilton got some more repetitions in centerfield.
It is likely that he will play there in the playoffs with Nelson Cruz in right field and David Murphy in left.
