Craig Gentry to disabled list, Taylor Teagarden up
Craig Gentry is going on the 7-day disabled list on Thursday.
He sustained a concussion in Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays sliding into second. Since he was placed on the special 7-day disabled list, it could not be retroactive to Monday, even though he has not played since.
Taylor Teagarden has been called up to give Rangers manager Ron Washington extra flexibility with his catchers Mike Napoli and Yorvit Torrealba.
