Alexi Ogando added to the All-Star Game roster
Alexi Ogando was named to the American League All-Star game after both James Shields and CC Sabathia started for their respective clubs on Sunday afternoon.
A rule states that pitchers who start on Sunday before the All-Star Game are not allowed to participate in the game in order to protect their arms. Since Ogando was the next highest vote getter among the player votes, he was elected to join the team in that spot.
