Pitcher Yhency Brazoban has requested and been given his release from Triple A Round Rock. He had a June 1 out in his contract.
Mason Tobin has undergone elbow surgery, his fourth in three years. The Rangers have not released details but it doesn’t appear as if the Rule 5 Draft pick will be a factor this year.
Tommy Hunter is scheduled to pitch two innings in a medical rehab assignment on Saturday. He’ll need approximately a month to build back arm strength.
