Rangers make a bevy of roster moves

Before the Rangers’ three-game series with the White Sox, Texas made a series of roster moves.

First they return Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz from simultaneous rehab assignments in Round Rock. For one transaction, they have optioned Taylor Teagarden to Round Rock.

Endy Chavez went on the 15-day disabled list with a strained hamstring to free up the last roster spot.

Hamilton and Cruz figure to give the Rangers a little more pop in their lineup, which has been lacking in their recent road trip.

The Rangers recalled Yoshinori Tateyama from Round Rock and optioned RHP Cody Eppley to the Express.

In nine innings of work for the Rangers, Eppley gave up eight earned runs. On the Express, Tateyama struck out 26 batters in 21 innings of work.

I can feel the tide changing. You have to give props to the Rangers for staying in first. Hopefully this will give a huge boost to them. I also want to say this is the best Ranger blog out there
