Ogando to the bullpen as possible closer candidate
The Rangers have told Alexi Ogando that he will be in the bullpen. Ogando, like Neftali Feliz, was being “stretched out” this spring as a possibility of moving into the rotation. But the Rangers will keep him in the bullpen.
Ogando is a candidate to be the closer. He would likely be the guy if Feliz moves into the rotation. The Rangers haven’t made that decision but Feliz starts on Thursday against the Padres in Surprise.
