Washington wants experienced closer
Manager Ron Washington suggested that he wants an experienced closer if the Rangers decided Neftali Feliz is moved to the rotation. Washington said he has confidence in general manager Jon Daniels being able to find that closer. Mark Lowe and Alexi Ogando would be the leading in-house candidates but neither has experience as a Major League closer. Washington wants experience.

I’m not sure how much JD would want him, but my Astros are probably looking to move someone. If JD made the right offer toe Ed Wade, I could see you guys getting Brandon Lyon. Asking price probably isn’t too high.

I’m puzzled by the statement that he wants experience…he didn’t seem to want experience last year…since Feliz was a rookie (and a darn good one)…in any case, lets go with Lowe and Ogando….
