Young speaks to team
Rangers infielder Michael Young spoke to his teammates during a team meeting before Sunday’s first full-squad workout. Young, whose request for a trade has been the No.1 issue with the team, promised his teammates that he would not be a distraction this spring.
“He said what he wanted to say and moved on,” manager Ron Washington said.
Washington gave his annual address, telling his players to stay healthy, focus on fundamentals and take things seriously.
The first full-squad workout has started with temperatures right around 50 degrees. It has been raining and the fields are wet, forcing postponement of the annual FanFest. But the rain has stopped for now and the Rangers are going to do their work outside.
