Young and Kinsler Not In Starting Lineup, Mathis Activated, Lowe Might Pitch

3B Michael Young and 2B Ian Kinsler are not in tonight’s lineup against the Mariners.  Young and Kinsler were orginally scheduled to have Monday night off, but asked manager Ron Washington to play them on Monday for the fans at home who were coming out to see the team after clinching the AL West Division title on the road.

RHP Doug Mathis has been activated as additional pitching help, and reliever RHP Mark Lowe is here in Arlington, and could pitch before the season ends on Sunday.  Lowe has been recovering from back surgery, the Rangers acquired Lowe from the Mariners in the Cliff Lee trade.
