Francouer for Arias may be next
The Rangers could work a deal that would send outfielder Jeff Francouer to the Mets for infielder Joaquin Arias. That’s the latest as the Aug. 31 Trade Deadline approaches. The Rangers designated Arias for assignment last week.
The Rangers apparently asked the Red Sox about Mike Lowell but were told that he was not available.
At this point, all indications are that Francouer is the only thing the Rangers have going on right now.
